Learner Guide: Direct Access

This guide walks you through logging into Rehearsal, starting a Roleplay Session, and completing it.

Step 1: Open Your Link and Log In
  1. Click the direct link provided by your training team. This takes you straight to your Roleplay Session.
  2. If your organization uses SSO: You'll be redirected to your company sign-in. Authenticate with your company credentials.
  3. If you log in with email/password: Enter your email and password. First-time users — click Forgot Password to set your credentials. (Check your spam/junk folder if the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes.)
After logging in, you'll be automatically redirected to the Roleplay Session.

Step 2: Preview the Session

Once logged in, you'll land on the Session preview screen. Here you can:

  • Read the description — this sets the scene and tells you who you'll be speaking with.
  • Review the goals — these are what you'll be evaluated on.
  • See Session details like duration, difficulty, and time limit.
When you're ready, click Start Session.

Step 3: Set Up Your Camera and Mic

Before the conversation begins, you'll enter a setup screen where you can:
  • Check your camera and microphone are working.
  • Select the correct audio/video devices if you have more than one.
  • Allow browser permissions for camera and microphone when prompted.
Once everything looks good, click Begin Session to start the Roleplay Session.

Step 4: Complete the Roleplay Session

  1. Have a conversation with the AI character.
  2. When the conversation reaches a natural conclusion, or the time limit is reached, the Session ends.
  3. Wait for analysis — after the Session, the AI evaluates your performance against the goals. This may take a moment.
  4. Review your results — you'll see your score and feedback on each goal.
Important: Your Session is only recorded as complete once you reach the results screen. If you close the browser before that, your Session may show as incomplete.

You can practice as many times as you like — from the results screen, choose to practice again without leaving. Each attempt is scored independently, so use repeat Sessions to improve.

Tips

  • Use a supported browser (Chrome or Edge recommended).
  • Find a quiet space — background noise can affect the conversation quality.
  • If you have trouble with your microphone, check your browser permissions for the Rehearsal site.
