What Happens to Scenarios When a CenarioVR User is Deleted or Their Role Changes?

When managing users in CenarioVR, it’s important to understand how content ownership is handled to ensure continued access to your organization’s scenarios.

Scenario Ownership and Role Changes

• Author to Viewer: When a user’s role is downgraded from Author to Viewer, they lose the ability to create or manage scenarios. All content they previously authored is automatically transferred to the Organization Admin.
• Deleted User: If a user is removed from your CenarioVR organization, any scenarios they created are also reassigned to the Organization Admin.

This ensures that all content remains accessible and manageable within your organization, even when personnel changes occur.

Can Content Be Reassigned Back?

Once scenarios are reassigned, the Admin retains ownership. If the user is later reinstated as an Author, those scenarios will not automatically return to their account. However, the Admin can choose to:

• Share the scenarios with the user again.
• Manually duplicate or organize the content for collaborative work.

Best Practices

To avoid confusion or unintended data movement:

• Only downgrade or delete users after confirming that their content has been backed up or reassigned as needed.
