Lectora Training Plan: Everything You Need to Know
Select from various options to add images into your course. Then, within Lectora, update the images as needed.
Lectora supports many image file formats including the following:
- JPEG
- PNG
- GIF
- TIFF
- BMP
- EMF
- WMF
However, I recommend sticking to PNG or jpg format.
To add an image to your project, navigate to the insert ribbon and select the image option. Additionally you will find the keyboard shortcut to add an image below.
Ctrl shift F5
You can also select the drop-down to choose from various options.
Image file will allow you to search for an image on your local computer.
My image opens my library where you can select previously stored images.
Stock image Library will open the eLearning Brothers Stock image library where you have access to thousands of stock images.
When you click on the image on the stage or in the project explorer you'll have access to new options on the ribbon to adjust it’s properties, style, and position and size
From the properties Sub menu, you can change the objects name, appearance when the page is loaded or change web options
From the style submenu, you can crop, add a border, shadow or reflection and adjust transparency
To crop an image select, the crop option.
Cropping borders are now added over the image.
Move the cropping borders to adjust the new borders of the image then select the crop option again to make your changes
To remove the crop. You can always select remove crop from the drop down
From the position and size submenu, you can move, resize, rotate or mirror an image.
And that’s the basics of working with images in Lectora. Be sure to check out our other videos on getting started in Lectora. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to us in the ELB Learning Community.
