RSVP Users for Events

Users are automatically RSVP’d for events when they are enrolled directly into an event module (see Admin Manually Enroll Users in Modules). If the event is full, the user will not be enrolled in the module and the admin will receive an error message notifying them that the event is full.

Caution: Users are only automatically RSVP’d for events if they are enrolled directly into the event module rather than enrolled through a course containing an event module. 

Users who RSVP to an event are now automatically enrolled in the associated event module. In this case, only the RSVP email notification is sent.

When an admin enrolls a user into an event module, the user is automatically RSVP’d to the event. In this case, only the “RSVP by Admin” email notification is sent.

RSVP’d users also appear in:

  • Enrollment module completion reports
  • Event reports
  • Enrollment reports

Enrolled users are listed as RSVP’d in future event reports.

Manual Completion and API Completion

If a learner is marked complete using the manual completion sheet, the learner is automatically:

  • Enrolled in the event module
  • RSVP’d to the event

The learner will also appear in the Enrollment tab and in event and enrollment reports.

Note: Enrollment and RSVP email notifications are not sent when completion is added through the manual completion sheet.

If an event is marked complete through the public API, users are automatically:

  • Enrolled in the event module
  • RSVP’d to the event

The users will also appear in the Enrollment tab and in event and enrollment reports.

Cancel Users’ RSVP

To cancel a user’s RSVP, navigate to the Reports tab of the Admin Portal. From there, a user’s RSVP can be canceled from the Calendar, Module, or User tabs under the Events section of the page.

Note: When a user’s RSVP is canceled by an administrator, the user’s status is updated on the module page the same way as if the user canceled their own RSVP.

Note: Admins can cancel users’ RSVPs even after the event has ended.

Events – Calendar

Locate the event in the calendar and select the event. Select the user(s) from the list, then select Cancel RSVP.

Events – Module

Locate the event using the search bar or select one from the list of event modules. Select the user(s) from the list, then select Cancel RSVP.

Events – User

Search for the user or choose a user from the list, then select the event module from the user’s associated event list. Select Cancel RSVP.
