In this video, we're going to take a look at the basic structure of our Branching Email Scenario Storyline template, and how to make simple edits like changing text in the file.
First, let's look at the structure. This is a single-screen template that uses layers to deliver content for all objects except the main buttons at left of the screen.
Introduction, main email content, and individual feedback blocks are each presented on their own layer. To edit these pieces of content, simply select the text box you'd like to change, and edit as you see fit.
To edit the content on the left-most buttons, select the button you'd like to change, and access the states pane. A subject line and description copy are editable in each of the Normal, Hover, Disabled, and Seen states.
You can also edit the icon on each of these states. Note that button icons are custom shapes, not images, in this file. This means you can edit the color, stroke, etc. directly in SL3 as though it were a native shape.
On the same topic, the visibility of each of these buttons is controlled via the NumOfTabs_ variable set at the top of the Triggers pane. If you'd like to remove one or more of these buttons, simply change the NumOfTabs variable to the number of tabs you'd like to see. 2 Buttons? Set the variable to 2 and preview.
