End of Life Notice for Obsolete Software Versions
End of Life Statement Effective July 30, 2021 eLearning Brothers will no longer provide technical or support services to users of Lectora Publisher 17 or Lectora Inspire 17.
June 1, 2021
At ELB Learning, our goal is to create software that will solve problems and increase productivity for people involved in training and education. To achieve this goal we are committed to continuous improvements of our software, platforms, and services. As both available technology and our customer needs change, updating software applications and system hardware will be necessary to ensure we deliver the best experiences. Upon retirement or end of support for any application or service, there will be no new technical updates, free or paid support services, or online technical content updates.
For our Software as a Service (SaaS) applications, subscribed users will automatically be upgraded to the latest versions.
Our Desktop installed software users include suite and legacy applications.
Suite applications are Lectora 21 and Lectora 19 licenses beginning with LS01. Suite application users are required to utilize the most recent version of the software available.
Legacy applications are Lectora Inspire 19 with licenses beginning with LI19, Lectora Publisher 18, Lectora Inspire 18, and older. Legacy applications will continue to follow the legacy technical support policy of supporting the current major version of the generally available software, plus the prior two major versions, in this instance Lectora versions 18 and 19.
In line with this policy, ELB Learning wishes to notify our users that after July 30, 2021, technical maintenance or customer support services will no longer be provided to users of Lectora Publisher 17 or Lectora Inspire 17.
Users who need assistance beyond the Help functionality will be directed to this website for assistance: https://knowledgebase.elblearning.com/lectora-desktop-version-17-release-notes
We encourage ELB Learning customers who use Lectora Desktop to upgrade to a Gold or Platinum Authoring Suite to access Lectora 21. In version 21, you can expect major enhancements including an updated application appearance, greater ease of use, and a more contemporary interface for creating eLearning materials.
