In this video, we're going to take a look at the structure of our Icon Tabs Storyline template, and how to make a few edits to the file.
This is a single-slide template. The user selects a tab at bottom and a corresponding content layer opens.
The bulk of content in this template is very straightforward to edit. The majority of text is set in standard text boxes. Navigate to those and edit as desired.
The content on the tabs at bottom of the base layer, however, cannot be edited so directly. If you select the EDIT STATES button, you'll find you can edit the section title text box, section text, and icon. Icons can be filled, stroked, or styled like any other Storyline shape.
One note about images: If you'd like to change narrators—say, using one of our other cut-out people in the library—make sure to crop them from bottom to avoid overlapping the bottom tabs on the base layer.
Finally, the number of tabs shown to the user is controlled via variable. To reduce the number of tabs, edit NumOfTabs_ in the Slide Triggers pane. Enter a value between 1 & 5. You may want to reposition the narrator if you do reduce the number of tabs. Check each layer to find out.
