In this video, we're going to take a look at the basic structure of our Read & Select Scenario Captivate template, and how to make simple edits like changing text in the file.
First let's look at the structure.
This is a single-screen template that presents a scenario and three choices to the user, then provides supplemental information, and finally feedback, based on that choice.
The main scenario and supporting info - or introductory content, however you choose to use it - are contained in the main Text Caption elements on screen
To edit these elements, simply select a text box and edit at will.
To edit the images used in this file, access the properties pane, and select a new fill for the container shape.
Note that each image has multiple states.
The labels for each of these images can be edited by selecting the Caption#_ textboxes toward the top of the timeline stack.
In addition to the content, we provide supporting information specific to the learner's selection on the main scenario.
These elements can be edited by enabling the feedback group.
In that group, there's a content captino that contains each of the 3 feedback blocks.
Edit its states pane to get to feedback for selection #2 and #3.
Final feedback can be edited by selecting the feedback caption, and editing its states as desired through the Properties pane.
To set the correct answer, just assign the variable Correct_Answer_9433662 to either 1, 2 or 3. These numbers represent each image button respectively.
In this template, the number of buttons is fixed to 3. If you need to remove a button, simply disable it in the main timeline or delete.
